Engagement photos are usually taken a few weeks to several months before the wedding. These are relaxed, casual pictures of the two of you in a location that's either attractive or has sentimental value (such as where you had your first date). Two locations that I like are the Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale and the Camelback Inn in Phoenix.

Photo Session. I try to time the photo session to occur just before sunset, when the lighting is best. We'll usually go through about a dozen different poses. The photos will receieve minimal editing before being posted for viewing on a website, usually within a few days.

Photo Selection. After reviewing the photos online, you'll let me know which photos you like, and those photos will receive more comprehensive editing. You can also let me know if you'd any special effects, such as black or white, or sepia toning. All photos (edited and unedited) will be sent to you on a CD.

Selection and Printing. The last step is for you to select two of the photos (they can be the same). One will be printed as an 11"x14" in an 20" x 24" white matte for signing at the reception. The other will be printed as fifteen 4"x6" glossy photos, for friends and family.
